Occupational Hygiene
Occupational Hygiene describes the act of preventing ill-health in the workplace through anticipating, recognising, evaluating and controlling health hazards in the workplace with the aim of worker health protection from harmful substances. These substances exposed to workers can be through noise produced (measured via noise monitoring), inhalable particles in the air (measured via air monitoring), or substances that are absorbed through the skin (biological monitoring).
